Meikeminne Clinckspoor decided really young that she wanted to make children's movies. After a theater education in Amsterdam, she started a filmeducation (2004) at the Filmschool KASK in Belgium, where she graduaded in 2009 with her Shortfilm for children "The Wishing Tree". She wrote and directed several shorts for children and won numerous awards with them. Besides her work as a director, Meikeminne also worked as a professional children’s coach and casting director on international features. With her scripts she was selected for “Sources II” (2010), “Binger Writers’Lab” (2013) and “Binger Director’s Lab” (2012), and the Cinekid Scriptlab (2015).
Meikeminne lived in Sweden for more than a year, speaks Swedish and stayed three months in the northern woods while working on her first feature length script for children “Cloudboy”(2017) . Cloudboy is a Co-production between Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway and mostly shot in Norwegian Lapland. Cloubdoy is distributed by LevelK and their most asked festivallover in 2017.
In 2019 Meikeminne's most recent project “DOOPIE”, premiered on Dutch television. “DOOPIE” is a life action televisionseries for toddlers. It will soon be broadcasted on Belgian and Spanish television.
Doopie was nominated for the Prix Jeunesse, The Televizier Ster Jeugd, The Cinekid Audience Award, The Cinekid Best Television series & The Kids EMMY.
Currently Meikeminne is working on the Doopie children's book, and is developing two series for toddlers(one life action, & one animation), two featurefilms for children and one documentary for children.
